Upcoming Children, Youth, & Family Events
Activity Time (all children & youth) Every Sunday Morning at 9 am
Every Sunday Morning during the Learning Hour at 9 am, children and youth of all ages are invited to the Youth Room (in the lower level) for some Activity Time! The focus of Activity Time will be on building relationships and creative play, more than education. There will be a combination of free play, organized group activities, and time for conversation. It will be a lot of fun, and a great way to make new friends and develop lasting friendships at church!
Sunday School (grades K-6th) Every Other Sunday Morning (Oct. 6 & 20, Nov. 3 & 17, Dec. 1, 15, & 29) at 10 am
Children between Kindergarten and Sixth Grade will have the option to temporarily leave worship after the For All God’s Children Time for Sunday School. Sunday School will take place in Room 114, and be an interactive lesson on a story from The Bible. Children will return for worship during the Sermon Hymn. We hope that this allows all children to encounter the Gospel appropriate to their energy level and interest. Contact Pastor Bergen at bergen@gsolympia.org with questions or if you would like to serve as a Sunday School teacher.
South Sound Lutheran Youth Group (11 - 18 years old) Every Third Sunday of the month from 5-8 pm
The South Sound Lutheran Youth Group is a joint group of youth from Good Shepherd Lutheran and Gloria Dei Lutheran in West Olympia. These gatherings are a time of fun, community, play, and worship! We alternate gatherings each month at Good Shepherd and Gloria Dei. Youth are invited and encouraged to bring friends! (go to Youth Activity Night webpage for schedule.

Christmas Celebration & Pop Up Pageant — Sunday, December 15, 12 noon
All ages are invited to an Intergenerational Christmas Celebration & Pop-up Pageant following worship and fellowship time! The celebration will begin with cookies, games, and crafts during fellowship time when will be making and writing Christmas cards to the homebound members of the Good Shepherd community. Then around noon, we will hold the annual Good Shepherd Pop-Up Pageant, which will have a particular focus on song and dance! It should be a joyous and festive celebration!
This Christmas celebration is being held after worship on December 15, and there will be no Learning Hour before worship on that Sunday. This schedule is so that you can prioritize being present at the Christmas celebration. We hope to have all generations well-represented at the Christmas Celebration and Pop-Up Pageant!
